The Independent Prophets
Prophets of the Independent Faiths (no sects included here)
The Prophet- Manifestations of God are said to be Beings of the Greatest Power and Love--
so much as to transform society-- it is these movements that are referred to and listed in these pages.
They are among the few Beings with a great Power to change and guide the history of our world. These Special Souls are seen as Lights to us on earth, and appear only once in a thousand years or so. Their ideals are so divergent and Their teachings so astounding as to effect a clear break from old traditions and faiths.
Nothing less than a fully independent new religion grows out of the life and work of a
true Prophet- Manifestation of God.

Krishna, Buddha, Abraham, Moses, Christ and Mohammad *

Prophet Founder of the Baha'i Faith
* Some others who have created sects of other religions claim Prophetic status but are not Independent from their faiths of origin-- * See Footnotes Below

The Prophets (they say) bring inspired, matchless medicine, a "Divine Remedy" to heal the world... But to be of use, it must be heard and heeded.
For this reason, each Prophet directs us to seek for the next Manifestation who will build on the old teachings and create a new civilization. ______________________ |

If a Wise Prophetic Being should appear on earth, I pray for grace to receive that heart of Greatness.
For truly there is no medicine like that of the Prophets, and none more vital to heal our world.

No problem-- The point of these pages is that we are all one family anyway and
so let's get to that which unites us. In the Book of Spirit, Religion comes AFTER unity, anyway!
We are all One people, no matter what our values and beliefs.
* Certain sects of the existing faiths have also appeared, such as Mormonism, Adventists,* etc., Their Founders never broke away from the religions of their origin, therefore they are not among the Independent Faiths of earth.**
1* The Baha'i Faith, an Independent minority world religion began in 1844. The Prophet- Founder, Baha’u’llah, has proclaimed and been hailed as a Promised One-- as such, He should be listed with the rest of history’s Manifestations. You can investigate the fruits of it on your own if you wish, by visiting Bahai.org.
2** There may be a few who claim Prophet-hood or small less known sects that are not listed. that are obscure or of unknown status..
